There are seven oranges in a basket and seven girls in the room. Each  girl took one orange , yet one orange remained in basket. How?
Answer: the first six girls each took an orange. The seventh took the basket as well as  the orange in it.
 
Sunny's father was older than his grandfather . How did that  happen?
Answer: let's say that sunny's father was 70, his mother was 30 and his mother's father was 55. Because everyone has two grandfathers, it is quite possible for a maternal grandfather to be younger than one's father.
 
The 22nd and 24th presidents of USA had the same mother and the  same father, but were not brothers. How could this be so ?
Answer: they were the same man. [grover cleveland; 1837-1908]
 
A deaf man needed to buy a saw to cut some wood. How did he indicate to the storekeeper that he wanted to buy a saw ?
